I think Johor has become more preferable tourist attraction recently, due to: shopping for branded items in one place- the Johor Premium Outlet; the lego enthusiast- Lego Land, and recently opened (10th Zulhijjah= 26 Oct. 2012) the Hello Kitty Land + the Little Big Club (lets call it HKL+LBC in short).
While everyone talking Lego land this and that, I & me famiglia went to Puteri Harbour for the Hello Kitty Land. Well, for one, Lego land sooooo expensive (RM130) whereas only RM85 for both HKL and LBC. And, its not for me, its for me 21 months daughter. Ek ek ek ek.
27th October 2012, 2nd day of launching; From Shah Alam, Bukit Jelutong toll, and exit at Skudai cost me about RM44 for highway toll. With moderate driving speed and several stop (breakfast, toilet break), it took almost 4 hours. Owh, location to go,
1º 24’59” N 103º 39’31” E
for your GPS. Actually I wasted some fuel due to outdated map in my GPS. Johor build road so quick.
Okay, what was there? Its located near Puteri Harbour (useful if you follow signboard). The building still in progress, but the internal somehow completed, I guess. HKL+LBC located within a building with HKL occupy 1 floor and 2 floors for LBC. No nearby sundry/provision shop, 7E, food court, etc, except 2 noted internal cafe (can I say cafe) which expected to full house most of the time. So, plan your meal time. I'm sure you want to value your admission to the max by spending the most hours in it.
1st, HKL, consist of about ...7 activities. Just like any other theme parks, photography is 1 of their source of income. You play, spend time here and there, they take your picture, they sell it to you. RM30 per 5R (or was it 4R, I'd go for 5R) or 3 for RM70. At the entrance you'll notice teapot and cups. Lets roll. hohoho. Remember, you've paid entrance fee, you may be charged for photo and foods.
I/we did not try all activities, some just not suit for us. Nail cosmetic (naaah), Hello Kitty House (uggghh..not big fan), HK doll (RM75 per doll if not mistaken). But I did try Costume Photo where me & family wearing costume and take photo. I laugh hard. And jewelry making. You can choose either to make bracelet or necklace. You can take this home.
And the best part, the dark-black-what-the, I don't remember the name. But its like mystery solving thing. You enter a castle and provided with electronic lamp device, with unique chip detector. Place that lamp at the thing that ask questions. Doesn't matter your answers right or wrong, the most important part is... remember the black/dark sign at the end of quiz, AND don't forget your lamp. After walking in a 'maze' (maze...lol), you'll arrive in a castle I think, and there you have to find 5 lettered password to released the prison-ed hello kitty. You see, password differ between your lamp and others, unless you have the same black/dark sign. So, enjoy.

Next, upstairs theres LBC. Playland for kids. yeah...taking picture with Barney's replica, playing Bob the builder's backhoe, dancing ballet with that...mouse. I don't see this in TV. hehe. And arcade game (basketball, whack-a-mole) in Pingu's igloo. His kitchen so similar. Ekekekekek.
Now is your turn elders! Upstairs (3rd floor) there's more games. Travelling with the train, spinning red bus, bumper car (huuhuhu...kid above 4 years only), ferris wheel, spinning heli, and a full-house cafe.
Time to go home.

Entrance fee and food price is expensive in Hello Kitty Johor. But my kids wanted to go so much that i didn't want to disappoint them.
Singapore rate. But compared to Legoland (or even Universal Studio Singapore), as an international attaction; this one is the cheaper of the 3.
Yet again, kids' smile= priceless.
p/s: seeing people buying many expensive things; eating luxurious foods; fancy and branded clothes;... and you just sat there happy with what you have and not buying = also priceless.
